Results
Tytun barns are tested and their superior results are proven. From 2010-2013, the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Southern Piedmont Research Station, and the University of North Carolina tested Tytun barns, and discovered that during the three years of study:
- Tytun barns use 24% less fuel per year (average)
- Tytun 14 box cured 29% more tobacco this season compared to other barns with same capacity
- Tytun 14 box barn cured 43,909 lbs in the 2012 season
- 24 to 33 hours shorter curing time per cure
